Chief Accountant / Financial Controller Job in Gurugram at Pidge

Key Responsibilities:

1) Financial Management:

• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and auditing.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial statements.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.

2) Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Ensure direct & indirect tax compliance, i.e. GST filings (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 9), ITR filing, TDS filings (26Q, 27Q), etc.
• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and oversee tax audits, statutory audits and liaise with auditors.

3) Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

4) Strategic Planning:

• Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plans and initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

5) Financial Analysis:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance.
• Support business units with financial analysis and advice.

6) System and Process Improvement:

• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters from commerce background.
• CA Qualification is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
• Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience in logistics is an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
