Maruti Suzuki is hiring for the role of Buyer Supply Chain!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Costing, Negotiating, and Sourcing for New Model parts as per the costing targets and sourcing timelines.
• Monitoring development timelines and ensuring development in line with New Model Trials planned at MSIL.
• Coordinating with different stakeholders within the company. 
• Working for cost reduction through various activities such as VA-VE; yield improvement, inner parts localization, price negotiations, and other such cost reduction ideas, etc.
• Supporting in resolving quality issues, and controlling defects during development and mass production.
• Ensuring Business continuity plan with existing vendor base by achieving comprehensive excellence at vendors.
• Tracking global semiconductor demand vs supply and anticipating future crises and taking countermeasures for the same.

Requirements:

• Good understanding and development know-how of various electrical-electronic components and Semiconductor usage in automotive.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing process, plant functioning & logistics.
• Data-driven approach- analyze and propose strategies.
• Strategic thinker to analyze and propose short-term and long-term solutions.
• Strong execution orientation and problem-solving approach.
• Proficiency in using MS Office [MS Excel, Word, PPT, etc.
• Thorough understanding of balance sheets and costing.
