Hitachi is hiring for the role of Business R&D Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide consultancy in the Substation Automation & Protection domain.
• Apply Substation Automation and Network control engineering concepts and solutions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of power systems.
• Implement Substation automation, SCADA systems & Network control centre concepts.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain a SCADA system.
• Apply IEC61850-based engineering concepts and solutions in IED Configuration Tools.
• Test SA Communication protocols like IEC60870-5-103, IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC60870-5-101, and IEC60870-5-104.
• Prepare functional documentation and conduct reviews.
• Coordinate on the technical front with stakeholders.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Requirements:

• BE - Electrical & Electronics/Communication
• 2-5 years of Experience
• Experience in Engineering or Development of products/components for Substation Automation/SCADA Systems/Numerical Protection/Process Automation/Power Management Systems/ Energy Management Systems
• Knowledge of Numerical relays and IED configuration tools, RTUs.
• Experience in Implementing or Engineering Communication protocols: IEC60870, IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, PROFIBUS, PROFINET
• Product integration and system testing, Experience in all phases of Software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile testing, Experience in the usage of test management tools like TFS/MTM, Azure DevOps
• Should be a team player. understand and optimize the architecture and design aspects from a Domain perspective
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
