Optum is hiring for the role of Analyst- Bussiness Intelligence/ Data!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Dashboard Development: Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (or Tableau) to support strategic insights
• Data Engineering: Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple sources, including Snowflake
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations
• Data Integration: Incorporate data from APIs, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and external sources to enhance reporting capabilities
• Automation: Streamline reporting workflows and distribution using tools like Power Automate
• Cloud & Scripting: Utilize Azure services, Snowflake, and Python libraries (e.g., pandas, matplotlib) for data processing and automation
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement cleansing processes, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with governance and security standards.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and pipeline details.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging trends in data engineering, cloud platforms, and analytics.
• Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and support for data-related issues.
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
• Intermediate to advanced experience in Power BI (or Tableau).
• Solid proficiency in SQL, with ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
