Google is hiring for the role of Business Analyst-YouTube Trust and Safety!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Partner with cross-functional to drive consensus on business objectives and define/evolve metrics and measurement methodologies that fit the YouTube Responsible Feature Access (RFA) team’s priorities.
• Generate insights to improve business performance by setting metric baselines and goals, understanding drivers and root causes, and identifying opportunities for the team.
• Learn the objectives and dynamics behind partners to contextualize in realizing the broader responsibility objectives for YouTube.
• Build and maintain reporting pipelines and dashboards, and identify, contextualize, and influence the closure of gaps in the data that impact the ability to generate insights.
• Analyze and debug escalations and identify trends that can indicate product risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
• 1 year of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
• 4 years of experience in an analytical role.
• Experience with abuse prevention, policy, and regulatory systems, and project management and process optimization with data analytics.
• Experience with extracting, sampling, and visualization of data sets, writing and maintaining ETL that operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources, delivering production-level metrics, insights, and actions.
• Ability to take ownership of projects by setting and achieving milestones, synthesizing input from stakeholders, managing multiple projects, creating outputs appropriate to the audience, and driving final deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
