PhonePe is hiring for the role of Business Analyst!

Responsibilities:

• Be an integral part of the pod strategy, defining critical metrics and monitoring performance trends to influence interventions based on performance.
• Collaborate closely with business and product functions to understand the business problem and translate it into the right analytical problem statement.
• Own the entire insight generation phase and perform deep, thorough analysis to provide unbiased answers to the identified problem statement, backed by data-driven hypotheses.
• Move beyond the "Data person" role by contributing individual ideas on how to improve critical metrics for the pod, acting as a business owner and validating insights through data.
• Act as the analytics and visualization SME, ensuring that dashboards are designed and built to make data easy for the pod to consume.
• Mentor other analysts in the team, actively participate in the hiring process, and assist in onboarding new team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of analytics experience in a Business Analyst role (Mandatory)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Curiosity to understand how the product works and a keen interest in business
• Ability to write complex SQL queries to manipulate and consolidate multiple data sources for dashboarding and analysis
• Intuition for data and ability to work with large datasets
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView
• Understanding of data analysis languages such as R, Python, and core statistical concepts
• Experience in building ML models is good to have but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain thoughts and ideas both verbally and in writing
• Ability to effectively convey the story behind their analysis is a strong advantage
