The Economist Group is hiring for the role of Business Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work in collaboration with the Senior BA leading in PfG to deliver analysis that supports the delivery of requirements to build the system capabilities while understanding they fit into the editorial & business processes and customer journeys at level of detail appropriate to the situation
• Own and deliver areas of analysis and investigation and demonstrate a flexible and adaptive approach to producing validated requirements and solution approaches
• Identify key value points in the current state and collaborate with key stakeholders (editors, statisticians, data scientists & data analysts) to maintain the values delivered through future capabilities
• Act as a mediator between Editorial, Business and cross-functional development teams to facilitate seamless collaboration and effective communication
• Be prepared to propose options that align with future strategy or be able justify tactical solutions or deviations.
• Facilitate productive and engaging workshops at any and all stages of the process with clear aims and outcomes

Requirements:

• Experience of delivering improvements in content production architectures from creation to product distribution and an understanding of the core challenges faced, with particular emphasis on developing UI workflows on both bespoke and 3rd party platforms
• Understanding and experience with APIs and data migration processes
• Ability to recognise when analysis and investigations should go wider than initially expected and the experience to focus and prioritise their approach.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to constructively challenge and play devil's advocate that results in trusted relationships.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with suitable information at the best level for the audience.
• A highly collaborative work style and the ability to successfully work in a team environment driving collaborative behaviour and psychological safety.
