Barclays is hiring for the role of BIA Non-Function Operations VP!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work collaboratively to develop strong client relationships and support the delivery of the BIA Audit Plan.
• Drive audits on a day-to-day basis based on the Audit Owner’s vision.
• Support the Portfolio Manager (PM) with the scoping of audit assignments including the preparation of the scoping document.
• Manage audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed.
• Manage audit teams on a day-to-day basis, working to ensure that audits progress as planned, as regards to scope, budget and timetable.
• Support the PM with continuous monitoring to enable timely risk assessment across the audit universe.
• Work with the PM to ensure ongoing risk assessment and audit plans are complete and accurate.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant/Graduate with experience in risk-based auditing
• Experience in a first-line role in areas like Investment Banking Operations and Corporate Banking or auditing of Investment Banking/Corporate Banking Operations processes
• Demonstrable Risk and Control understanding
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders
• Practical understanding of the relevant regulatory environment
• Skilled in analysing data applying business context to identify specific insights, and using interpersonal skills to explain technical analysis steps to non-technical audiences
• A self-motivated individual committed to learning analytical skills and applying them on the job
• Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques
  • Relevant Professional qualifications (e.g. CIA, FRM, CFA)
