BigShyft is hiring for the role of Backend Engineer - Java! 

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop reusable, testable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Turn application storyboards, designs, and use cases into fully functional applications.
• Version code, integrate continuously, and build new tools.
• Writing code that is readable, reusable, testable, and efficient.
• Design and optimise applications for high performance, high availability, and low latency.
• Work on security and data protection when needed.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold and improve standards, code quality, and toolsets.

Requirements: 

• 1+ years of experience in developing Java-based products.
• Excellent Java skills with a deep understanding of its applicability to the cloud.
• Experience with AWS products such as dynamodb, SQS, lambda, cloudfront, api gateway, ec2/ecs etc.
• Good understanding of RestApis.
• Working knowledge of front end technologies like ReactJs.
• Basic knowledge of unix and shell scripting.
• Skill for writing clean code.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalability
• Strong unit testing, debugging and profiling skills.
• Strong hands-on experience with Git.
• Good to have -Interest in Deep learning and AI Tech.
• Good to have- Python knowledge.
• Good to have- Experience with ffmpeg/video processing.
