Goldman Sachs is hiring for the role of AWM Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Focus on software design and development across a wide range of programming positions, including business software engineers, platform engineers, and quality assurance engineers
• Combine the best open source software, databases, cloud solutions, and programming languages to create accurate, complex, and scalable applications
• Solve business challenges and provide insights that support both internal operations and client needs
• Act as change agents by applying technical expertise to transform the firm through innovative engineering solutions
• Work as part of embedded engineering teams in close collaboration with business partners such as trading, sales, asset management, banking, and finance
• Build and automate solutions that help maintain the firm’s competitive edge
• Join core engineering teams to support all business units with reliable, scalable platforms for data engineering, machine learning, networking, developer tooling, and collaboration
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and others in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Contribute to innovation through continuous learning and tackling new technical problems with enthusiasm

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions.
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
• Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development.
• 1+ years of software development experience
• Programming in a complied language such as Java, or C++ or an interpreted language such as Python and experience with concurrency and memory management.
• Responsive web development, with professional React/Angular/Redux experience and advanced JavaScript proficiency.
• NoSQL databases such as MongoDb and Elastic Search
• Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization
• B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or Related field
