Berclays is hiring for the role of AVP Engineering Lead!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contribute to various projects spanning across critical technical deliveries, regulatory projects and platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users.
• Work closely with the Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Project Managers across all regions and business clusters to deliver robust design and technical solutions in a controlled, transparent and actively risk managed fashion.
• Ensure requirement, functional specifications, and unit testing requirements are well understood and participate in all aspects of analysis, design, implementation and deployment of all software related to these applications.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Web Application Development and modern frontend technologies, including React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, Node.js
• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience of Core Java, J2EE design, Spring framework and development work on large-scale banking applications
• Strong webservice development experience using REST
• Strong understanding of OO Designing and Programming Techniques and associated concepts, Data Modelling, Design Patterns
• Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines and Repositories, for example Jenkins and GitHub
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and a willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results
• Practical experience of supporting and maintaining production environments with distributed systems and highly available services
