NatWest is hiring for the role of Avaloq Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop a deep understanding of the platform's aspects, including business, applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with principal engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to align platform functionality with business objectives.
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage the software development backlog and deliver software features.
• Design and produce resilient, scalable, and long-lived software that can adapt to future needs.
• Deliver intentional architecture and evolve designs through innovative ideas, experimentation, and prototyping.
• Focus on automating build, test, and deployment activities using executable patterns.
• Ensure software is optimized for performance, availability, scalability, and virtualization.

Requirements:

• Experience: Strong full-stack experience in software design and implementation, with proficiency in coding languages to solve complex problems.
• Core Banking Knowledge: Experience with core banking products such as Finacle, Temenos T24, Flexcube, or BaNCS.
• Certification (Optional): Avaloq certified customization professional (ACCP) is desirable, but not essential.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq.
• Leadership: Experience in leading the implementation of programming best practices, especially around scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
