HSBC is Hiring for the Role of Automation Senior Consultant Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Lead for Python, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Genkins and DevOps skills
• Technical SME for Infrastructure automation and associated technologies
• Responsible for infrastructure automation across regions
• Responsible for navigating across HSBC infrastructure teams and structures, able to communicate with all levels from engineers to management
• You will own delivery of the work assigned and drive it to successful completion right from requirement gathering till defect resolving and quality product delivery into markets.
• Owning technical challenges, researching solutions and implementing best practices across the Global Engineering community, ensuring technical alignment with other Global programmes
• Implementing technical standards / governance across the engineering teams and promoting the use of tooling, Cloud environments and automated testing throughout the engineering life cycle
• Work within the scrum team to drive the technical roadmap for all channels and service fulfilment
• Proven track record in designing, developing and deploying applications. Hands-on experience with Unix, Git,  Jenkins

Requirements:

• Proven experience on Automation using Python, Shell, Ansible , Terraform, Cloud SDK
• AWS Cloud Architect or Consultant with a deep understanding of AWS services and technologies.
• Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and data management.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, configuration management).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge about AI/ML
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
