HSBC is hiring for the role of Audit Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Participate or sub-lead sections for delivering audits, including major or highly complex assignments, providing critical assessments of HSBC’s governance, risk, and internal control frameworks.
• Ensure timely and efficient completion of audit assignments in line with Global Internal Audit (GIA) standards, industry best practices, and relevant risk and regulatory requirements.
• Provide professional advice on audit findings and recommendations, ensuring full understanding and proper implementation by management.
• Obtain, analyze, and synthesize information for reporting on the adequacy of internal controls and management actions.
• Draft audit findings articulating key issues, risks, and root causes based on work performed.
• Maintain updated technical and business knowledge, especially concerning audit and regulatory issues.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to build effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust.
• A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even during ambiguity, while considering long-term risks and implications.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management and experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to convey impactful information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills, coupled with lateral thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize systematically, aligning projects with business priorities using analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Past experience in a relevant assurance role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Technology and Operations in financial institutions and an understanding of banking processes, risks, and controls is preferred but not mandatory.
• Role-relevant qualifications such as ACA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
• Minimum graduation or the qualification required for the role, whichever is higher.
