WPP is hiring for the role of Audit Automation Associate!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Support reconciliation projects, particularly focusing on statutory accounts data, audit fees, and LEID discrepancies.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, validation, and cleaning to ensure accuracy for audit purposes.
• Help track audit progress and monitor audit fee adjustments.
• Assist in developing and testing automated systems for financial audits and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the team to implement reconciliation tools that enhance audit accuracy and efficiency.
• Support data validation efforts to ensure consistency and accuracy across various systems.
• Help clean and preprocess data for use in automated systems and analytical models.
• Participate in testing and debugging automated systems to identify issues and improve functionality.
• Provide feedback on system performance and suggest enhancements.
• Monitor and maintain data quality standards across audit automation processes.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Create detailed process maps and flowcharts to document the functioning of existing and new audit automation systems.
• Maintain up-to-date records of workflows and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions for financial processes.
• Support data automation projects using ETL tools and programming languages.
• Participate in the design and development of applications using Microsoft Power tools (PowerApps, Power Automate).
• Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement through digital enhancements.
• Assist in preparing training materials to educate stakeholders on audit automation tools and processes.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, automation, and digital finance to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements:

• Current enrolment in or recent graduation from a Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration program.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming (required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Genuine interest in AI, digital innovation, and data automation within the finance function.
• Familiarity with data validation, cleaning, or reconciliation tools is a plus.
• Experience with process mapping or flowchart creation is a bonus.
