Mahindra is hiring for the role of Asst. Manager - Engine Machine Shop!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Communicating the daily work plan, Quality plan & production, quality loss to workmen. Proficiency of local language is required to deal with unionized work force
• Organizing the work force & deployment on stages based on skill and competency level of workman
• Coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, create and oversee training schedule that emphasis productivity and resource utilization
• Evaluate each workstation of machining process to ensure maximum efficiency, to improve process, to improve tool life, to reduce work content
• Handling & resoling live issues related to Process, Quality & safety
• Enforce safety policies and procedures to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job
• Defect identification and root cause analysis & action planning
• New model Machining set up, line setup, and ramp up
• Revenue cost reduction initiatives for implementation and practice Improvement idea generation and implementation
• Driving tool cost reduction, Power cost Reduction and productivity improvement projects
• Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT
• Benchmark best practices across other plants and industry for manufacturing excellence
