Tower Research Capital Pvt Limited Is hiring for the role of Associate - Withholding Tax Reclaim!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Candidate with hands-on experience in the international taxation domain will be preferred
• Liaising with Tax authorities, Prime Brokers, Custodians and Tax Agencies to reclaim due withholding taxes in a timely manner and follow up regularly with the stakeholders involved
• Coordinating with internal Tower teams to accrue, post and clear reclaim amounts across systems
• Managing large datasets, multiple files with solid analytical skills
• Identifying areas of improvement, scope requirements and assist in implementation of automation and create process guidelines for tax reclaims at Tower
• Performing Daily reconciliation of internal data to participating brokers via position, trades, cash, NAV, and fees
• Investigating of breaks raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in management, tax, engineering, finance or economics
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in a tax department with a focus on operational taxes, withholding tax reclaims, tax reporting, etc.
• High level MSOffice Excel knowledge is a must: Look-ups, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Statements
• Desire for fast-paced environment and “to wear multiple hats”
• Fundamental awareness of global markets, preference to candidates with prior experience/knowledge of global securities at a trading firm dealing with multiple asset classes
