AspenTech is hiring for the role of Associate Technical Writer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Research, write and edit documentation such as configuration guides, user’s guides and other related technical materials.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of products to efficiently manage and deliver complex software documentation that meets the needs of the target audience.
• Work closely with development teams, subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to continually improve documentation.
• Utilize ticket tracking system to ensure tasks stay on track and deadlines are met.
• Apply design and style guides to existing documentation to ensure consistent look and feel across the documentation library.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical/Professional Writing, English, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience developing software or technical documentation.
• Ability to quickly learn complex topics and software applications.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Thorough understanding of how to translate complex information into concise, easy-to-follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exposure to XML-based documentation authoring software, such as MadCap Flare preferred.
• Knowledge of HTML and web publishing preferred.
• Understanding of Agile methodology preferred.
• Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira and Jama preferred
