Myntra is hiring for the role of Associate - Sourcing!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Execute seasonal and short-term sourcing plans, leveraging knowledge of apparel sourcing to meet various requirements such as financial goals, customer service, quality, aesthetics, safety, and terms of engagement.
• Communicate capacity and price requirements to ensure alignment with line margin and delivery objectives.
• Provide alternatives to merchandising/design teams to meet commercial requirements at the most competitive cost, identifying opportunities to leverage a library of components, fits, and sources.
• Closely review the capacity plan and production schedule to optimize capacity and utilize available vendors effectively.
• Involve in product execution from sketch to delivery, managing fabrication alternatives, garment engineering, and sample management.
• Develop, manage, and coach a high-performing vendor team, ensuring current and future business needs are met.
• Hold accountability for "Go to Market" activities, tracking adoption rates and ensuring the timely delivery of prototypes, shoot samples, catalogs, and pre-production samples to meet targets.
• Drive the team to meet Market deadlines, negotiating and influencing design and merchandising partners to achieve milestones.
• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement, providing suggestions to decrease expenditure and improve cost efficiency.

Requirements:

• Possess 2-4 years of proven work experience in Sourcing and Product Development, specifically in women's crafted ethnic wear.
• Showcase a strong design sense in the ethnic category, indicating a keen understanding of aesthetic preferences.
• Have a well-established ethnic craft fabrics supply chain network across India, demonstrating knowledge of sourcing intricacies in the region.
• Demonstrate familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in the relevant category, ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
• Exhibit an understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Possess the ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Comfortable with figures, adept at collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for informed decision-making.
• Demonstrate a proactive "can-do" approach in handling work assignments, showcasing a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant analytical tools.
• A degree in garment textiles is considered beneficial for the role.
• Flexible and willing to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
