BlackRock is hiring for the role of Associate - Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new software features. 
• Participate in our Agile ceremonies and, in partnership with other developers on the team, help analyze and estimate effort for assigned tasks. 
• Contribute to architectural discussions, decisions, and documentation. 
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities. 
• Manage core libraries and dependencies to ensure they are up-to-date and secure 
• Work with an Nx workspace to optimize code sharing and reuse 
• Collaborate with other technical teams to manage CI build times and automate deployment processes 
• Design and implement scalable and performant solutions using React and TypeScript 
• Ensure code quality and maintainability by following best practices and standards 
• Beyond engineering, a successful candidate will always strive to learn the business context of their projects to quickly play a leading role in solving problems and driving decisions. 

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience 
• Hands-on experience in a software engineering role in a commercial capacity 
• Experience of working with React and the latest features of JavaScript 
• Experience of working with Azure DevOps
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience architecting and deploying sophisticated applications in a production capacity. 
• Experience with strongly typed languages, including Typescript. 
• Experience working with RESTful APIs. 
• Experience working with Git, ADO, and Agile methodologies. 
• Experience with Java or other JVM based language. 
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal 
• Experience in the finance industry or knowledge of financial products/markets.
