Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- You will work closely with multiple teams that make up IT, Information security, and Technology to drive impactful change.
- Ensure that the potential impact of Infrastructure & software deployment changes is well understood, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for end-to-end testing and performance analysis of real-time data applications, solve issues, proactively identify new opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion.
- Prepares and obtains approval for system and programming documentation.
- Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards and trains users in conversion and implementation of the system.
- Basic knowledge of Data Centre and Infrastructure components like Servers, Storage, Network, and Load Balancers.
- Good Understanding of various Operating Systems, Virtualization, Networking, and firewalls.
- Basic knowledge of Could Technologies AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Basic understanding of RDBMS(Database) or Server Infrastructure area or SaaS applications
- Knowledge of at least one scripting knowledge (Power shell preferred)
- Basic networking concepts and OSI model
- Knowledge of Switching and routing protocols like EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, HSRP, LACP, SSO, RPR and along with VLAN, STP, RSTP, VTP, and MST protocols is desired.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting of Network Connectivity.
- Install, configure, support, and maintain Operational tools and Operations.
- Alerts/task handling skills by using tools like HP NNMI, Cisco Prime, NetScout, Livenx, and Net brain monitoring tools.
- Create tickets for the critical alerts that have been escalated to TechOps and update the ticket with the appropriate information.
- Willing to adapt and learn new technologies to provide efficient operations support.
- Learn the different monitoring tools used and triage issues based on the issues faced.
- Flexible to work on rotational shifts in a 24x7 environment and weekend On-Call support if required. Follow the best practices and proactively handle the infrastructure availability 24x7x365.
- Shadowing senior team members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
- Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and hardworking in nature.
- Participate in meetings and attend workshops and other training initiatives.
- Passionate and accountable for the environment you will be responsible.
- Able to handle the customers and work with cross-functional teams over voice/email/chat.
