Associate Software Engineer Job in Bangalore at Oracle

Oracle is hiring for the role of Associate Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that power our payment products. Write well-structured code that meets both functional and non-functional requirements. 
• Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of software engineering principles, payment processing, and security protocols to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical challenges. 
• Feature Enhancement: Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to translate product requirements into technical designs and implementations. Enhance existing features and contribute to the development of new ones. 
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery timelines. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members. 
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and diagnose software defects and incidents, providing timely solutions and collaborating with the team to prevent future occurrences. 

Requirements:

• BE, BTech Comp Science, BTech Electronics, BE / BTech IT, MSc Comp Sc, MCA
• Previous experience in developing card payment software solutions including VISA, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, JCB, etc. 
• Business knowledge about the card payments industry is a plus. 
• Work Experience in Agile Methodology would be preferable. 
• 0-3 years Experience in Cobol development on UNIX and or Mainframe platform 
• Experience in Linux / Unix / Mainframe (Zos / MVS / OS380) environment, basic system Commands (UNIX / TSOE) & VSAM. 
• Experience in working with RDBMS (Oracle / Sybase / DB2 / UDB) and working with complex SQL Queries. 
• Some familiarity with Java will be a big plus. 
• Familiarity with code management tools (GIT, Synergy, etc.) is desirable.   
• Willingness to learn and adapt to both legacy and new age technologies, to solve problems and take the product in new directions. 
• Ability to collaborate with a global team and work with attention to detail & multitask under tight deadlines. 
• Previous card payment experience and knowledge of our networks such as VISA, Mastercard, Discover, etc.
