Associate Quality Assurance Engineer II Job in Bangalore at PowerSchool

PowerSchool is hiring for the role of Associate Quality Assurance Engineer II!

Responsibilities:

• Within an Agile framework, collaborate with other team members to deliver compelling, high-quality solutions via iterative sprint commitments and periodic release vehicles
• Research and internalize proposed software requirements, functional designs, and technical designs
• Develop and implement test strategies and test plans that result in effective identification of software defects
• Design, create, and execute effective automation tests using Selenium/web driver including the creation of necessary test data
• Leverage AI tools for automation development to increase speed and efficiency  
• Strong technical expertise to be able to understand risk analysis of code changes and define test/automation strategy accordingly
• Experience with security, performance, and accessibility testing is preferred
• Perform verification of software defect fixes to ensure they resolve the stated problem
• Identify, quantify, and communicate software risks and produce comprehensive mitigation strategies
• Uphold existing quality assurance and test standards and processes and be a champion in driving further improvements
• Produce accurate estimates for the time needed to execute assigned projects and tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Assurance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent degree required
• Ability to program in Java, JavaScript, and/or Python
• Test Automation experience preferably in the programming languages specified 
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Understanding of SQL to manipulate and validate test data
• Understanding of XML, HTML
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
• Exposure to Selenium automation tool preferred
