CoinDCX is hiring for the role of Associate- Public Policy (Legal)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Support policy, PR, and compliance teams through a legal analysis of current VDA regulations both in India and the world, past precedents, and future risks.
• Lead legal analysis and policy development initiatives concerning VDA regulation, taxation, and compliance.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, identifying potential impacts and opportunities for engagement.
• Conduct thorough research and provide strategic legal insights on emerging trends and regulations in the blockchain and VDA sector.
• Draft and review policy proposals, legal documents, and position papers.
• Collaborate with legal and other teams to align legal strategies with CoinDCX's objectives and industry standards.
• Engage in public networking engagements to represent CoinDCX at industry forums, regulatory discussions, and policy roundtables.
• Contribute thought leadership through articles, whitepapers, and research publications in the field of blockchain and VDAs.

Requirements:

• Law Degree: Must have a law degree/ Master's degree in public policy, public administration, or a related field preferred from a recognized institution.
• Legal Policy Experience: 0-3 years of experience in legal policy. Internship experiences in legal policy will also be considered to supplement existing work experience.
• Proficiency in English: Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
• Teamwork and Communication Skills: Must be a strong team player with excellent public speaking abilities.

Good to Have:

• Additional Qualifications: A postgraduate degree in public policy or a related field is highly desirable.
• Interest in Blockchain and VDAs: Demonstrated experience or a keen interest in blockchain technology and Virtual Digital Assets.
• Public Writing: A portfolio of public writing (e.g., articles, papers) showcasing expertise in relevant legal, policy, blockchain, or VDA areas.
• Expertise in Specific Legal Areas: Familiarity with tax laws, Securities Contract Regulation Act (SCRA), SEBI regulations, and Payment and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) laws.
• Personal Attributes: A hunger to succeed and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
