Associate Product Engineer Job in Chennai at Grundfos

Grundfos is hiring for the role of Associate Product Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Customized Data sheet on request containing product information
• 2D Dimensional Drawings
• Create and adjust 2D dimensional drawings (PDF, DWG, DXF) based on customer requests.
• Modify standard drawings from internal systems to reflect accurate dimensions.
• Use CAD tools to generate DWG/DXF files, especially when pumps require modifications such as motor changes or extended components.
• 3D Dimensional Drawings
• Generate and customize 3D STEP files using internal 3D configuration tool and Catia.
• Modify standard pump models
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of the 3D tool to reduce errors and manual rework.
• OEM / Customer Co-Creation
• Deliver high-precision, high-detail documentation through direct collaboration and feedback.
• Manage complex documentation tasks that often require extensive customization
• Development and Process Ownership
• Take ownership of developing and refining documentation processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in tools, workflows, and collaboration across teams.
• Actively contributes to knowledge sharing and best practices to strengthen the overall documentation area.
• Ensure that tasks are aligned with business priorities and executed with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
• Competence development
• Develop competence and knowledge within relevant pump solutions and applications linked to the specific competences for product Engineer

Requirements:

• Experience with Catia.
• Solid knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
• Understanding of engineering design fundamentals.
• Good understanding of manufacturing methods and processes.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in IT tools, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.).
• Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of business processes.
