Associate Operations Research Job in Bengaluru at CAE

CAE is hiring for the role of Associate Operations Research!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Interpret business requirements and convert them into parameters understandable by a mathematical engine.
• Walk through airline processes and how an optimization engine will fit into their overall picture.
• Set up reports to explain cause and effect to customers, in the context of the parameter changes requested.
• Write Python scripts to help collect data and draw insights on optimization.
• Explain the output of optimization engines in a way that highlights cause and effect.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's (with honors) or higher in Operations Research, Computer Science, or other related field.
• Understanding of airline processes, specific to either crew planning or disruption management.
• Previous experience with optimization engines in an airline context.
• Python scripting ability for data analysis.
• Knowledge of CPLEX, GUROBI, COIN-OR, or other industrial mathematical solvers.
