Boeing is hiring for the role of Associate Manufacturing Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configurations for Electrical panels, shelves, and Wire Harnesses
• Create Installation plans in CAPP/MES
• Assist in developing manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
• Assist in developing and integrating suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
• Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
• Assist in developing tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues
• Assist in carrying out DFM and producibility studies of installation and routing of wire harnesses and electrical/electronic products
• Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements
• Assist in developing work instructions for installing wire harnesses and components in panels and other assemblies
• Create testing and inspection plans for wire harnesses, panels, and aircraft electrical systems for continuity and proper functioning
• Implement process audits for prevailing Installation/fabrication plans and ensure they meet defined standards
• Assist in implementing safety procedures, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, and non-conformance issues with wire harness manufacturing
• Identify production inefficiencies and suggest potential improvements to product or process.
• Interpret wire harness design definitions and routing
• Assist in implementing lean principles and technologies
• Exercise critical thinking and innovative problem-solving

Requirements:

• Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is required
  • 2+ years of work experience in aerospace wire harness design, installation, and routing
  • 4+ years of experience involved with the production/manufacturing planning of electrical wire harnesses
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of Electrical Harness design software (2D/3D)
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing execution systems
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Boeing products/Commercial aircraft platforms is highly desirable
  • Experience in Wire Routing and Installation of aircraft wiring systems using Catia is a plus
