Associate Legal Counsel Job in Mumbai at Maersk

• Liaising closely with business owners and other legal departments in the Group.
• Advising stakeholders on the risks and exposures in contracts by applying a holistic 360-degree review.
• Negotiating with customers and/or suppliers.
• Creating risk management and legal awareness.
• Supporting the HQ and regional legal team and leadership in contract management/governance.
• Reviewing and reporting obligations to ensure that responsibilities defined under the contract are met.
• Developing ‘eye to eye’ relationships and engagement with internal stakeholders and implementing process capability.
• Providing consistent and predictable high-quality service to business partners and end customers.
• Ensuring a well-governed and diligent contracting process from start to finish.

Requirements:

• The candidate holds a Bachelor of Law or Master of Law and has extensive contract review experience. Candidates with a proven track record within the maritime, supply chain, logistics or similar industry are welcome to apply. Knowledge of another language besides your native language and English is a plus.
• The candidate has 5+ years of experience from an internationally oriented law firm or international corporation with experience in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing maritime, logistics, and commercial agreements.
