Reliance Industries is hiring for the role of Associate Legal!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide high-quality legal inputs after carrying out extensive legal research (both Indian and foreign laws) and finding relevant legal provisions and case laws;
• Interpret and summarising various Indian and foreign case laws and legal provisions;
• Prepare legal notes and briefs while applying the legal provisions/position to facts at hand
• Draft and review contracts
• Carry out legal due diligence
• Support senior team members
• Support in the preparation of contractual notices and claim documentation and the management of disputes
• Provide general corporate advice to the business
• Prepare of Legal MIS
• Prepare legal risk registers
• Assist the in-house legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements based on business requirements.
• Conduct legal research, draft case notes, and create presentations on various case laws as needed.
• Provide legal advice to business and technical teams.
• Support the in-house legal team in drafting and reviewing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, negotiating with bidders, and drafting contractual replies and notices.
• Attend hearings before various courts and tribunals and participate in briefing sessions with Senior Legal Counsels.
• Assist in-house legal counsel during briefing sessions with various domestic and international law firms

Requirements:

• B.A LLB or LLM from a reputed Law University/College
• Good understanding of oil & gas laws and dispute resolution processes (courts/arbitration)
• Understanding of the legal framework of governing Production Sharing Contracts
• Comprehensive analytical skills
• Excellent oral & written communication skills with objective outlook.
• Strong team player & co-ordination skills - focused, goal-driven and result-oriented
• Fresher or minimum one-year work experience as an in-house legal counsel/ associate in a law firm
• Understanding of court processes and arbitrations
• PQE of 1-3 years
• Achiever, motivated, positive outlook, enthusiastic and performance-driven
• Desire and ability to work effectively within a team and be a positive contributor to the team
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with an in-house legal team of a reputed organization or with a law firm
