Canada Worldwide (CWW) is a Shipping, Logistics and Warehousing company based out of Canada. CWW operates www.eshipper.com, the #1 shipping aggregation platform for customers in Canada. eShipper provides services in Canada as well as the US. TechHaus is CWW’s technology arm, and is responsible for running and maintaining the eShipper platform, as well as many other technology assets. The Role:
Associate Technology – Java is responsible for writing backend Java code utilizing frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate. 

Key activities for the role will be:
• Gather and document requirements for IT platforms;
• Develop software code as per the architecture and coding standards;
• Create and evolve robust and scalable software design solutions;
• Write unit test cases and perform unit testing;
• Develop performance test cases and perform performance testing for backend applications;
• Install and maintain development and test environments;
• Perform monitoring, maintenance and support activities for production and other critical environments. 

Mandatory Experience:
• 1-3 years of work experience in Java
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts
• Strong knowledge of working with Java 11 and higher
• Experience with the Spring and Hibernate frameworks
• Knowledge of developing web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of writing SQL queries
• Knowledge of developing REST APIs 

Preferred Experience:
• Ability to interpret UML use case, class, sequence and activity diagrams
• Experience working in the Logistics domain
• Experience developing OpenAPI based APIs
• Experience integrating Java backends with mobile applications
