Associate Engineer - Validation Job in Bangalore at Micron

Micron is hiring for the role of Associate Engineer -  Validation!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Validate SSD products using various test strategies.
• Collaborate with SSD, firmware, and ecosystem teams to develop NVMe system test suites and production firmware APIs.
• Work with process owners, firmware developers, and validation engineers to identify and implement product and process improvements.
• Develop algorithms for data parsing and analysis to enhance yields, reduce test times, and improve product quality.
• Explore SSD validation improvements, including refining test coverage plans, strategies, and processes.
• Co-design environments and support projects from inception through customer qualification and production ramp-up.
• Prepare and discuss comprehensive test plans, including access patterns, NVMe protocols, firmware test hooks, and VS commands for front-end, back-end, FTL, and security firmware.
• Integrate tests into automated environments and collaborate with test execution teams to refine validation strategies.
• Collaborate effectively within teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of NVMe protocols and storage interfaces is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Linux operating system debugging and Python coding.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Protocol Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Logical Analyzer) is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of system storage and platform elements, including CPU, memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, and firmware.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate within team environments.
