Associate Engineer – Technical Publications Job in Pune at Vertiv Group Corp

Vertiv Group Corp is hiring for the role of Associate Engineer – Technical Publications!

Responsibilities:

• He/she will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing customer-facing documentation such as user manuals, online help systems, and quick installation guides (but not limited to this) for Vertiv’s multiple product lines (AC Power, DC Power, Thermal, Energy Labs, Global Racks, etc.).
• He/she should understand, explain, and write complex technical information in a conversational tone of voice.
• He/she needs to work with and facilitate positive relationships with Global Business Units (GBUs), all Lines of Business (LOB), other departments, and OEM customers with specific needs.
• He/she should work with minimal supervision and sometimes limited product specifications and support and manage both local and remote documentation projects. Being part of the Global Engineering function, he/she will be responsible for executing the assigned job and report as per the defined communication plan.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with proficiency in Microsoft Word & Adobe Acrobat Pro X/ Adobe Acrobat DC
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in technical writing or authoring
• Experience with or certification of single-source publishing tools like MadCap Flare is preferred (Experience/certification with Adobe FrameMaker, and RoboHelp tools could be substituted for MadCap Flare)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Attention to detail while managing several complex deliverables
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn tech pub processes and tools
• Basic knowledge of researching technical source data such as assembly and work instructions, fitting arrangement schematics, engineering drawings, 3D models, service bulletins (SBs)
• Familiar with the functionality, operation, and maintainability of various mechanical/electrical systems and components
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Writing Style Guide, experience with CSS, XML & XHTML
• A degree or certification in Professional Writing, Digital Writing/Communications, Journalism, or English with a Writing Emphasis will be an added advantage
