Asteria is hiring for the role of Associate Engineer I - Engineer Support!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Root Cause Analysis: Analysis of flight critical data to determine the root cause of the issue. Collection of relevant evidence from the Drone Operator to arrive at the respective resolution at the earliest.
  • Investigation Report: Post analysis of the case the individual shall generate an investigation report for further submission to the customers.
  • Troubleshooting and guidelines: The individual will actively involve troubleshooting of issues and generate advisories/operational guidelines to the customers and the internal team members for smooth operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to service engineers and Drone Operators by troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions. Assist with the implementation and integration of engineering systems and tools.
  • Testing and Validation: Collaborate with service engineers in conducting flight testing and validation activities for active client products, and engineering solutions. Assist in flight test plans, executing tests, analysing results, and documenting findings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the engineering function and contribute to the implementation of best practices. Propose and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity in engineering processes.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate engineering team members on new technologies, tools, or processes. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by documenting lessons learned and promoting information exchange.
  • Feedback to Engineering team: A feedback mechanism to be set-up and actively communicate the customer / SR tickets feedbacks to the quality / Engineering / product team for product performance enhancements and maintaining the reliability of the product through out its support period.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in identifying potential safety hazards and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechatronics/ Aeronautical/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science).
  • Knowledge and experience in drone technology, testing, Verification and validation, including operation, software, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using customer support software and tools.
  • Previous experience in customer support or technical support is a plus.
