Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Understand product portfolio, and business landscape and provide cost-out proposals through tear down of products.
• Take technical ownership of engineer-to-order requirements.
• Ensure product compliance with global design standards like IEEE, IEC, or any other compliance standard.
• Complete system/component sizing, designing, simulation, and testing activities to meet product requirements.
• Bring value addition to the end customers by modifying existing products through the Change Management process.
• Responsible for execution of engineer-to-order projects and lead activities like converting customer requirements into design parameters, designing core/coil as per requirements, and completing design (2D drawing & 3D model) in Inventor & Autocad.
• Complete tear-downs, generate ideas, and perform system/component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet product design and compliance requirements.
• Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
• Find opportunities for continuous improvement and make VAVE proposals to businesses.
• Knowledge of standards by IEC/IEEE codes which will allow the development of test plans.
• Utilize knowledge of electrical performance requirements, and physics and provide engineering judgment on the impact on the product from cost, testing, and certification perspectives.
• Create test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experience in ETO/VAVE/Cost Out, product design
• Ability to read and understand Drawings, Specifications, and Requirements
• Strong product design ability (Both new product & product modification)
• Team player, working with global teams, working in a Virtual environment
• Hands-on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology
• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations
• Learning agility to understand & assimilate varied technologies & product knowledge
• Proficient in Inventor and 3D modeling Autodesk
• Ability to generate novel concepts/ideas for the improvement of systems/sub-systems
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating/completing complex projects on time
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables
