AXA XL is hiring for the role of Associate Developer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with the product owner and other squad members to understand user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Design, develop and test high-quality software components for the data intake system that meet acceptance criteria and quality standards.
• Carry out code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to ensure that the code meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, etc. to ensure smooth delivery.
• Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Managing and monitoring data pipelines and ensuring their availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshooting issues related to data ingestion and transformation.

Requirements:

• Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Ensures that the solution and codebase is maintainable, scalable and adheres to best practices of software development.
• Delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable data ingestion pipelines.
• Supports other members of the squad in resolving technical questions related to best practice, feasibility etc.
• Data intake squad members during trouble-shooting or assisting with data-related queries.
• Insurance background.
• Proficiency in programming language such as C#.
• Experience with data integration tools.
• Excellent understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
