XL Catlin is hiring for the role of Associate Consultant! 

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Using the above knowledge, execute reports and analyse data.
• Learn and develop a thorough understanding of Global Program business.
• Support detailed data review for Client Portal Initiative.
• Drive and coordinate with other functions a clean-up initiative to address challenges in the current data set.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations as may be required for stakeholders.
• Support with your business knowledge the development of BI Tools (Power BI) and undertake the maintenance on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in team calls during UK & US time zones.
• Respond to queries received from the network relating to published metrics and/ or specific analyses conducted.
• When opportunity presents you may be asked to learn new tools for process mining effort on relatively short notice.
• Understand the business processes around global programs.
• Understand the terminology used in this space.
• Experiment with the data set and understand the important statistics around owned offices/ Partner offices – both from the producing and incoming side.
• Understand country-specific nuances and how to use them to generate required statistics & analysis.
• Keep an eye on the changes in different countries or tools or processes by regularly reading published articles.
• Develop your understanding of the data and over time become a Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge required along with hands-on experience in Advanced EXCEL, Python, and POWERPOINT.
• Graduate/ Postgraduate (preferably Statistics) from a reputed Indian University.
• Relevant years of experience involving DATA ANALYSIS (including reporting).
• Prior hands-on experience with POWER BI can be an added advantage.
• Candidates with an insurance background will be preferred.
• Must display ownership & Initiative.
• Ability to apply own judgment. This will be vital given the time-zone difference, the candidate will have to turn around requests within a short timeframe, which requires to use of judgment and making assumptions.
• Being curious means someone who is looking for insights and answers in the data, we want someone who can give our analysis the predictive spin.
• Logical and critical thinking with a willingness to question and challenge.
