CRISIL is hiring for the role of Associate Consultant!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
Strategic Planning and Advisory:
- Develop tailored strategies and roadmaps for clients to transition towards cleaner energy solutions, with a specific focus on the C&I market, and new energies such as green hydrogen/ green ammonia, energy storage, carbon market and electric vehicles market.
- Carry out feasibility assessments with regards to market entry in the new areas of C&I market, green hydrogen/ green ammonia, energy storage, carbon market as well as electric vehicle infrastructure.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and stay updated on policy developments to provide clients with informed recommendations.
Bid and transaction advisory
- Analyze bid opportunities, including requests for proposals (RFPs), tenders, and competitive bidding processes.
- Develop competitive bidding strategies, considering market dynamics, client capabilities, and value proposition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare bid proposals, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, commercial requirements, and contractual terms.
Due Diligence and Project Valuation:
- Conduct detailed regulatory, commercial and financial due diligence of assets/ portfolios
- Develop robust financial models to evaluate renewable energy projects, including cash flow analysis, return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) calculations.
Detailed assessments of power markets:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of power markets, including supply and demand dynamics, regulatory frameworks, policy incentives, and market trends.
- Analyze historical and projected electricity market data, including generation capacity, transmission infrastructure, and electricity pricing, to identify market opportunities and risks.
- Conduct market studies to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Provide insights and recommendations to clients for market entry, expansion, and diversification
Requirements:
- MBA/ Master's degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, project development, or a similar role
- Good understanding of renewable energy technologies, such as solar PV, wind turbines, energy storage systems, and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of renewable energy policies, regulations, and market dynamics at the local, regional, and international levels.
- Proven track record in leading and delivering consulting projects on time and within budget
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
