BNY Mellon is hiring for the role of Associate- Compliance & Control II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contributes to compliance efforts within the assigned business unit. Assists in assessment activities to ensure compliance with standard regulatory and policy requirements.
• Analyzes existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices. Reports on the assigned business' current state of compliance.
• Assists in preparing risk-based reviews of existing and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Assists with projects and program tasks aimed at improving compliance.
• Assists in enhancing the control environment within the business unit.
• Analyzes control processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Assists in the assessment of the effectiveness of controls for ongoing compliance.
• Assists with drafting documentation when control changes occur.
• Assists in the preparation of non-complex reporting as directed.
• Builds working relationships with business unit managers.
• Aims to facilitate the timely delivery of information and increase favorable conditions for compliance activities.
• Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
• Collaborates with more experienced professionals to escalate issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3 years of total work experience preferred. Background in Financial Services, Audit, or Compliance is desirable.
• Familiarity with financial services compliance and regulations.
  Understanding of the assigned products, services, or business lines/areas.
  Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and rules of relevant regulators.
• Ability to analyze existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices.
  Skill in assessing the effectiveness of controls for ongoing compliance.
• Ability to review work for accuracy and communicate effectively with more experienced professionals.
• Developing skills in drafting documentation when control changes are made.
  Building working relationships with business unit managers to facilitate the timely delivery of information.
