Teach For India is hiring for the role of Associate, Communications!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Working with the Teach For India Communications team to create campaigns, branding ideas, collaterals, etc., for TFIx and innovate. This would also include managing the online presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In, releasing ads targeted towards recruitment, and creating newsletters/mailers for our community and partner organizations
  • Capturing Entrepreneur impact stories during the incubation year through pictures, videos, and other creative ways
  • Coordinating with external vendors to capture and document Alumni Entrepreneur’s impact stories on Entrepreneur’s site for video documentaries
  • Visiting TFIx Entrepreneur sites to understand their model in detail, capture their growth as well as develop relationships with their staff
  • Identifying avenues where TFIx’s and InnovatED’s presence can be created and presented on behalf of TFIx and Innovated in relevant spaces
  • Executing effective social media campaigns for TFIx and InnovatED events
  • Supporting respective POCs with coverage of selected events
  • Delivering insightful reporting to the Leadership Team 
  • Supporting Teach For India's PR efforts by amplifying the media mentions through social media
  • Supporting Entrepreneur teams in identifying powerful stories that would resonate with media
  • Identifying new potential partners for media coverage
  • Maintaining and deepening relations with existing partners
  • Contributing to the cluster goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities.
  • Serving as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply.
  • Supporting key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, and Movement Building.

Requirements:

  • Minimum graduate degree
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in social media or digital marketing roles
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal 
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills: the ability to effectively interface with multiple audiences, internal teams, and stakeholders while presenting complex ideas clearly and in an engaging manner
  • Ability to develop content consistent with the Teach For India brand voice, style, and tone
  • Open to taking up responsibilities which are not mentioned in the Job Description
  • Strong time management skills and ability to remain flexible
  • Strong organizational skills, project management and reporting and analytics skills with a focus on excellence and accuracy
  • Understanding of Canva, Adobe, Mail Chimp, and other content creation tools
