Social Panga is hiring for the role of Associate Art Director!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Coordinating with clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs part of Adobe Suite.
• Working with a wide range of media.
• Creating designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Illustrating concepts by designing a rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
• Leading and mentoring a team of junior designers. A previous experience as a lead earns you brownie points.
• Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Other specialty design, art, or production skills are a plus – 3D, Illustration, Video, Photography, Photo Compositing/Retouching
• Portfolio showcasing evidence of strong conception, art direction, presentation, and other design work
• Should be highly motivated, team-player and well-organized
• Should be able to execute ideas from start through to completion
• Should be mentoring and coaching team members through project development and performance management
• Experience in both digital and traditional media (Advertising, Branding and UI Design)
