Black Rock is hiring for the role of Associate, Application Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Hands-on coding using Java/Golang/Node.js/Electron.js/Angular or React/TypeScript/ /CSS/HTML5 (front end)
• Develop and maintain the persona-based workflows that will reshape how financial professionals are using our platform.
• Help design and build the next generation of the world's best investment platform.
• Open Aladdin to the world by building a compliant Desktop Agent.
• Build web component libraries, templates, and client-side applications that will be deployed across a wide range of platforms and environments.
• Contribute to an agile development team working with designers, analysts, users, and leads.
• Apply quality software engineering practices through all phases of development and into production.
• Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-time zone environment.
• Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews, unit, regression, and user acceptance testing, dev ops, and level two production support.

Requirements:

• Passionate about building quality software and scaling technology to meet the needs of tomorrow.
• 4+ years of full stack development, including experience in Java / Golang / TypeScript, good to have knowledge of Node.js, Electron.js, Angular or React.
• Experience working with an agile/scrum team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presents ideas in a clear, concise, and constructive manner to a diverse audience.
• An ability to translate real business problems into technical solutions.
• A track record of forging strong relationships and building trusted partnerships through open dialogue and continuous delivery.
• Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, workload modeling, and predictive analyses to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Planning and administering web systems hardware and operating system server software, while maintaining and monitoring website functionality and website security.
• Good to have knowledge of Azure DevOps, CICD pipelines, Windows Named Pipes, financial desktop platforms like Open Fin, Fineable, Glue42.
