Associate Analyst Job in Pune at Avalara

Avalara is hiring for the role of Associate Analyst! 

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments accurately and timely as required by taxing jurisdictions to ensure all return filing deadlines are achieved.
• Meet the SLAs and ensure accurate and timely registration.
• Communicate to the manager ongoing status and challenges or blockers if any.
• Stay abreast of all the updates & trends, and support overall production/accuracy goals.
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and build efficiency.
• Work with the team to plan and prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual filings.
• Serve as front-line contact for external customers by answering emails and client calls.
• Assist internal groups with technical issues and inquiries.
• Communicate clearly and concisely and maintain accurate and timely records in systems.
• Be open to accepting additional responsibilities assigned to meet the deadlines
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Adhere and deliver as per timelines of various government authorities as per various data formats.
• Extend working hours, working on weekends and holidays as may be required to complete the filing requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail with precision.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
• An MBA in Finance would be preferred.
• Knowledge of Sales Tax (VAT & Use Tax) would be preferred.
• Experience with tracking tools like Salesforce & Atlassian Jira
• The position requires oral and written communication with external customers and collaboration with internal contacts.
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and gets clarification; responding client queries.
