Assistant Vice President - Property Accounting Job in Gurgaon at Genpact

Genpact is hiring for the role of Assistant Vice President - Property Accounting! 

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Lead the successful transition of the Property Accounting process, ensuring it is set up FTR (First Time Right).
• Serve as the Subject Matter Specialist for the Property Accounting process, with comprehensive knowledge of the value chain.
• Drive growth, ensure strong engagement, maintain stable operations, and focus on talent development, retention, and continuous improvements.
• Lead teams, manage overall performance, and foster a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with senior management on financial planning, strategic initiatives, and real estate investment strategies.
• Provide financial analysis, projections, and recommendations to support decision-making and achieve financial goals.
• Maintain low attrition levels as per corporate targets and proactively plan and execute people movement during high-volume periods of attrition.
• Coach and mentor Senior Managers/Managers to help them succeed in their roles.
• Ensure the team is trained on all corporate, process, and skill-based training for knowledge retention and improvement.
• Develop and manage metrics that measure the activities performed by R2R, presenting them in a synthesized manner.
• Ensure process controls are established, communicated, and timely audited.
• Collaborate with Finance members, client departments, and third parties to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
• Use benchmarking data to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
• Review and improve SOP documentation and content creation.
• Manage Financial Reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for individual properties or portfolios, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP), and timely delivery.

Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting Experience with qualifications such as B. Com, M. Com, MBA, CA, and CPA.
• Extensive experience in Property Accounting, including FP&A and core property accounting processes, preferably with real estate clients.
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Yardi, JD Edwards, and MRI preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and property accounting principles for the US market.
• Proficient in Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience managing Property Accounting processes for real estate clients in managerial positions.
• Experience handling teams of 50+ employees.
• High customer service orientation and ability to establish and manage client relationships.
• Understanding of Visual Basics is preferred.
