Assistant Specialist - Business Data Services Job in Bengaluru at AXA XL

AXA XL is hiring for the role of Assistant Specialist - Business Data Services!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide technical and functional support for various data solutions owned and managed by the IDA organization
• Analyze and mitigate risks related to data solution delivery timelines, quality, stability, performance, and adherence to best practices in a production environment
• Maintain strong ownership of issues from initial reporting through to final resolution
• Deliver top-class production support and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) for data solutions are met or exceeded
• Collaborate with Product teams as an application, data, or technical SME for the migration of re-architected products or functionalities to the Cloud Platform
• Communicate proactively with business users, development, technology, support, delivery teams, and senior management
• Provide technical leadership to other production support resources and act as an SME for end users regarding application or product issues
• Manage day-to-day product support services to ensure the smooth operation of production systems
• Participate in the “Follow the Sun” support model, offering cross-team support coverage across Digital Data Dev division responsibilities
• Remain flexible and provide cross-team support coverage as needed across Digital Data Dev responsibilities
• Monitor critical processes and overall health (performance and functionality) of production and pre-production environments
• Track and monitor routine system configuration changes and upgrade

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Linux fundamentals and platform administration
• Proficiency in ITIL fundamentals and production support processes
• Strong skills in shell programming or scripting
• Minimum of an undergraduate university degree in Computer Science or a related field with relevant years of experience
• Extensive experience in support-focused roles (analytics, specialist, or engineer) in one or more areas of data management and support
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with solid business acumen
• Recognized as a thought leader in implementing best practices in production support
• Experience or knowledge of Microservices, R programming language, Python, and Azure cloud
• Familiarity with SQL, Databricks, document databases, SQL databases, and SQL DW Analytics is a plus
• Experience or understanding of systems integration and developer support tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, configuration management, and automation
• Ability to influence and understand business problems using technical terminology, and effectively liaise with staff at all organizational levels
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications, and documentation for data systems
• Previous experience leading small teams, including collaboration with onshore and offshore colleague
