Assistant Manager - Strategic Sourcing Job in Gurgaon at Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager - Strategic Sourcing!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Study drawings to evaluate manufacturing processes and meet design requirements for new GMA products.
• Identify suitable suppliers and issue Requests For Quotes (RFQs).
• Conduct comparative studies of received quotations to determine the most suitable supply route and progress master buyer signoff.
• Collaborate with suppliers on new products to support their development in meeting GMA Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) requirements.
• Review supplier manufacturing feasibility reports and liaise with GMA design for drawing revisions.
• Obtain supplier time plans, considering machine and capacity availability.
• Sign off on optimized process flows internally with the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager and then with the supplier.
• Progress supplier cost sheets for approval.
• Settle costs inclusive of transport and packaging in line with cost targets in business cases.
• Raise tooling Capital Investment Justifications (CIJs) for finance approval.
• Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) for Part Submission Warrant (PSW) samples (x5) and production quantities.
• Ensure supplier development activities are on track according to the time plan.
• Progress off-tool samples for testing and fitting trials in the UK Technical Centre of Royal Enfield.
• Progress 5x PSW samples for the Quality approval process in the UK.
• Instruct suppliers to commence mass production once the QA Manager approves PSW samples.
• Monitor suppliers through the first two production batches to ensure deliveries are On Time and In Full (OTIF) and free of quality issues or concerns.
• Handover ownership to the purchasing team after the first two successful production deliveries.
• Improve the GMA vendor list by developing robust suppliers.
• Source and develop alternative supply routes for identified parts to improve QDC.
• Support suppliers in developing Value Engineering (VE) suggestions for current parts to supplement cost-down exercises

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Technology
• Experience: 2-3 years in Strategic sourcing
• Good knowledge of manufacturing & finishing processes
• Excellent Negotiating skills
• Good knowledge of SAP-MM & Microsoft Office
• Efficient multitasking capabilities
• Adaptable to business changes & scenarios
• Resilient temperament to work in high-pressure scenarios
