Assistant Manager - SDET Testing Job in Mumbai at M&G PLC

M&G PLC is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager - SDET Testing!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Translate requirements into user stories and create clear acceptance criteria when defining testing strategies.
• Understands continuous integration and continuous delivery; capable of building out and executing automated testing suites through all environments.
• Understand how exploratory testing is utilized in an agile environment and understand how to perform unscripted testing. Work with strong Test Engineers work with the team to implement test charters that give exploratory testing sessions a clear mission, without being too prescriptive.
• Proficient in the application of Behavioural Driven Development (BDD).
• Executes operational acceptance tests, such as checking backup/restore facilities, disaster recovery procedures, and the arrangements for performing maintenance tasks before releasing your software.
• Test for cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, to ensure that the product is accessible to the widest possible number of users.
• Understand and work in a cloud-deployed solution
• Can undertake accessibility tests wherever required

Requirements:

• Understand how legacy services can be maintained and improved over time until they are retired.
• Have a strong understanding of high-level systems architecture, including concepts such as application servers, databases, middleware, and web services.
• Execute performance tests to ensure that the product/service remains stable and responsive when faced with significant volumes of traffic.
• Have a strong understanding of code repositories, commit process (trunk concept), and version control.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in fast-paced agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work in a complex environment
• Can work with backend systems and databases
• Strong communication skills can articulate issues verbally and orally
• Experience working in fast-paced agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of Jira is desirable.
