Tata Steel is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager (Direct Taxes)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure the accurate and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax returns.
• Carry out tax research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Direct Tax Laws & Regulations.
• Check and respond to notices related to litigation/assessment proceedings in the e-filing portal.
• Ensure timely statutory compliances and reporting.
•  Assist in tax computation and ensure tax audit accuracy.
• Maintain an internal database of direct tax accounts & records, as well as records related to litigations/assessment proceedings.
• Provide updated records to stakeholders as and when required.
• Collaborate with Officers and Non-Officers across the organisation for gathering their views and understanding opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure error-free data reporting and adherence to stipulated timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in direct tax management, compliance, and litigation.
• Strong knowledge of Direct Tax Laws & Regulations.
• Proficiency in Tax Planning and Compliance Management.
• Experience in Litigation Management.
• Strong skills in Data Analysis & Reporting.
• Expertise in working on MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
