Maruti Suzuki is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work in area of Vehicle Aerodynamics – should have a good conceptual understanding of Aero Drag
• Design & CAE Software knowledge – UG, Hypermesh, Star CCM+
• Assist with CAE Modelling – Mesh discretization, fluid parameters setting, surface settings
• Carry out CFD evaluation – Steady and Un-Steady states - for Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics
• Interpret CFD and Wind Tunnel results and generate ideas in areas of vehicle Styling and attachment parts & aggregates for meeting performance criteria
• Document results and communication with stakeholders
• Interact and participate in various Styling, Engineering and Program Management workgroups in providing feedback and driving countermeasures related to Aerodynamics development
• Interact with Fuel efficiency groups in supporting Aerodynamic Drag parameters during different stages of development
• Correlate CFD results with physical testing results and make improvements in CAE methodology
• Keep abreast with industry trends and benchmark vehicles for features improving aerodynamic performance, and enabling their adoption.
• Support the development of CFD methods related to new technologies

Requirements:

• Strong fundamentals of Fluid mechanics and Heat transfer
• Knowledge of CFD analysis and related experience in the automotive domain
• Basic knowledge of Automotive Body & Exterior part design and the related manufacturing methods
• Ability to prepare - CAD models in NX software, CAE models in Hypermesh/ANSA software, CFD model in Star CCM+ software
• Ability to generate Aerodynamics performance enhancement proposals
• Exposure to Optimization tools, Rainwater Management, and De-Fogging CFD will be an added advantage
• Exposure to Wind tunnel testing will be an added advantage
