Amazon is hiring for the role of Area Manager-Fulfillment Centre!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Be responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for one functional area of our Fulfillment Center (Inbound or Outbound)
• Be responsible for managing and leading a team of Process Assistants, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center
• Drive the creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed the Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Process Assistants
• Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Process Assistants accountable for their performance and the performance of their functions
• Leverage the Area Managers and Process Assistants by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area
• Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network

Requirements:

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
