Area Credit Manager Job in Chennai at Truhome Finance Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Appraisal & Underwriting

• Evaluate credit proposals for retail / SME / corporate customers within the defined authority matrix.
• Analyze financial statements, bank statements, income proofs, and business models to assess repayment capacity.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, lending norms, and regulatory guidelines.

Risk & Portfolio Management

• Monitor portfolio performance and highlight early warning signals.
• Ensure delinquency and NPA levels are within acceptable limits.
• Recommend process/policy changes to improve portfolio quality.

Team Management & Coordination

• Guide and support the branch credit managers/credit officers in the appraisal process.
• Provide training to sales and credit teams on credit policies and risk parameters.
• Liaise with sales, operations, and collection teams for smooth processing and disbursement.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure 100% adherence to audit and compliance guidelines.
• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation and reports.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Knowledge of credit appraisal techniques and risk management.
• Sound understanding of local markets and customer segments.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams.
